Abstract
DIODO ORGÃNICO EMISSOR DE LUZ (OLED) COM DESACOPLAMENTO MELHORADO. Um OLED pode incluir regiões de um material com um Ãndice refrativo menor que o do substrato, ou da região orgânica, permitindo que a lu emitida em um modo de guia de onda seja extraÃda no ar. Essas regiões pode ser colocadas de forma adjacentes à s regiões emissivas de um OLED em uma direção paralela à dos eletrodos. O substrato também pode receber uma forma não padrão para melhorar a conversão do modo de guia de onda e/ou luz do modo de vidro para o modo de ar. A eficiência de desacoplamento desse dispositivo pode ser de até três vezes a eficiência de um OLED padrão. Também são fornecidos métodos para fabricar esse OLED transparente ou de emissão superior.
