Abstract
ESTRUTURA DE ASSENTO E METODOS PARA USO DA MESMA. A presente invenção refere-se a uma estrutura de assento que tem um assento e um encosto articulados. Uma parte traseira do assento é automaticamente pivotável com relação a uma parte dianteira do assento quando o assento é inclinado entre as posições de inclinação ereta e reclinada. Uma parte superior do encosto é pivotável com relação à parte inferior entre uma posição neutra e uma posição estendida, com a parte superior sendo pivotável com relação à parte inferior independente da posição de inclinação do encosto. Em um aspecto, um mecanismo de ajuste é acoplado entre os elementos de suporte de encosto inferior e superior e pivota o elemento de suporte superior entre pelo menos primeira e segunda posições de suporte. Um assento com uma profundidade de assento ajustável é também fornecido, com vários métodos para operar os diferentes aspectos e modalidades da estrutura de assento.
