O presente invento diz respeito a um equipamento para monitoramento da pressão intracraniana (PIC), compreendido por um sensor de deformação denominado de extensômetro ou strain gauge (2), instalado externamente no osso do crânio do paciente (1); e, um módulo analógico para digital (4) para ler o sinal provindo do sensor (3), digitalizá-lo e transferir estes dados para um registrador ou plotter (5) ou um microcomputador e/ou monitor de parâmetros médicos (6).
