MATERIAL FOTOCRÃMICO E ARTIGO FOTOCRÃMICO.São providos diversos materiais fotocrômicos essencialmente livres de grupos polimerizáveis insaturados e que compreendem: a) . um indeno[2' ,3' :3,4]nafto[1,2-b]pirano;' e b). um grupo extrator de elétrons não conjugante ligado na posição 11 do indeno[2' ,3':3,4]nafto[1,2-b]pirano. Concretizações alternativas incluem diversos substituintes em outras posições do indeno[2' ,3':3,4]nafto[1,2-b]pirano. São também providos artigos fotocrômicos incluindo um substrato e um dos materiais fotocrômicos acima, em contato com pelo menos uma porção do substrato.
