Abstract
LENTE DE FOCO VARIÁVEL, E, PAR DE ÓCULOS. A invenção provê uma lente de foco variável, compreendendo um anel com uma superfície frontal e uma superfície traseira. Uma membrana flexível é retida entre a superfície frontal do anel e uma cobertura frontal transparente geralmente rígida, e uma cobertura traseira é fixada à superfície traseira do anel (opcionalmente com uma segunda membrana flexível ensanduichada entre a cobertura traseira e o anel). Uma cavidade é formada entre a membrana flexível e a cobertura traseira (ou a segunda membrana flexível) é cheia com um líquido, e a quantidade de fluido na cavidade pode ser variada para variar a curvatura da membrana flexível e variar assim as características ópticas da lente. O anel da lente pode ser colorido, e pode ser transparente, translúcido ou opaco. Alternativamente, uma cobertura decorativa pode ser fixada à fronte do anel para fornecer a aparência de uma armação. As lentes podem ser usadas em óculos de foco variável.
