Abstract
PROCESSO PARA ERRADICAÇAO DE ELEMENTOS PATOGÊNICOS COMPREENDENDO A GERAÇAO DE IODO MOLECULAR NO LOCAL. É revelado um processo de matar ou substancialmente erradicar um elemento patogênico no trato respiratório superior de um mamífero. O processo compreende gerar iodo molecular (I~ 2~) no local utilizando uma reação de oxidante-redutora com uma concentração mínima de pelo menos aproximadamente 25 ppm de I~ 2~ e I~ 2~ compreende pelo menos 40% dos átomos de iodo totais. Também é revelado um processo para inibir superantigenos utilizando iodo molecular.
