A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição alimentícia para animais da presente invenção que é pró-nutricional e conveniente ao dono do animal de estimação. A composição alimentícia para animais promove um peso corporal saudável e é palatável para um animal, fornece um auxilio nutricional altamente efetivo, promove um meio para controlar a excreção de pêlos pelas fezes, controlar a excreção de pêlos via oral, a formação de tricobezoar e a saciedade em um animal. A composição alimentícia para animais contém uma casca de noz.
