Abstract
COMBINAÇÃO DE ALOVUDINA E ZIDOVUDINA EM UMA RAZAO MOLAR DE 1:100 A 1:350. Co-administração de relações de alovudina e zidovudina consideravelmente maiores que a da arte anterior completamente ou substancialmente abole a toxicidade mitocondrial de alovudina em experiências de depleção de DNA mitocondriais. A invenção, desse modo, fornece composições farmacêuticas que compreendem alovudina e zidovudina em uma relação molar na faixa de 1:100 a 1:350 e métodos para o tratamento ou profilaxia de HIV resistente à multiplicação que compreende a administração simultânea ou conseqüencial de alovudina e zidovudina na relação molar característica.
