POLIMORFISMOS GENÉTICOS NO GENE DE HORMÔNIO DE LIBERAÇÃO DE CORTICOTROPINA (CRH) COMO MARCADORES PARA MELHORAR O ESCORE DE PADRÃO DE LISTRAS DE GORDURA DA CARNE E/OU PROFUNDIDADE DE GORDURA SUBCUTÂNEA. Aspectos da presente invenção também proporcionam novas composições e métodos baseados em novos polimorfismos de um único nucleotídeo no CRH selecionados do grupo consistindo de AAFC03076794.1:g.9657C>T, c.10718G>C, c.10841G>A, c10893A>C e c.10936G>C, os quais podem proporcionar novos marcadores para padrão de listras de gordura e/ou profundidade de gordura subcutânea. Aspectos adicionais proporcionam novos métodos os quais podem compreender seleção assistida por marcador ou gerenciamento assistido por marcador para melhorar o padrão de listras de gordura e/ou profundidade de gordura subcutânea em gado.
