A presente invenção fornece composições de liberação prolongada que compreende neuregulina para prevenir, tratar ou retardar várias doenças ou distúrbios. A presente invenção também fornece métodos para prevenir, tratar ou retardar várias doenças ou distúrbios pela liberação prolongada de neuregulina.
