Abstract

ANTICORPO CONTRA PERIOSTINA, E UMA COMPOSIÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA COMPREENDENDO ESTE PARA PREVENIR OU TRATAR UMA DOENÇA NA QUAL ESTÁ ENVOLVIDA PERIOSTINA. A presente invenção refere-se a um anticorpo contra uma isoforma de periostina tendo atividade adesiva anticelular, especialmente um anticorpo antiperiostina tendo a capacidade de neutralizar propriedades adesivas anticelulares, bem como um agente profilático ou terapêutico para doenças relacionadas com periostina compreendendo o anticorpo. Apresente invenção também proporciona métodos para detectar e quantificar a isoforma de periostina em uma amostra usando o anticorpo, bem como um método para diagnosticar doenças relacionadas com periostina compreendendo medir a quantidade da isoforma de periostina pelo método de detecção ou quantificação.
