DERIVADOS DE QUITINA PARA HIPERLIPIDEMIA. A presente invenção refere-se a derivados de quitina para prevenção ou tratamento de hiperlipidemia, tal como hipercolesterolemia e a aterosclerose resultante em um mamífero. As modalidades preferidas são úteis para reduzir colesterol sérico e/ou éster colesterílico, triglicerídeos, fosfolipídeos e ácidos graxos em um mamífero.
