A presente invenção se refere a uma zona de absorção para estabelecimento e/ou manutenção de transporte de fluido através ou ao longo de uma dita pelo menos uma passagem de fluido, em que a dita zona de absorção é fabricada à base de um substrato não-poroso, tendo projeções substancialmente perpendiculares à dita superfície e as ditas projeções apresentando uma altura, diâmetro e uma distância ou distâncias entre as projeções, de modo que é obtido um fluxo capilar lateral do dito fluido na dita zona.
