Abstract
É apresentado um dispositivo para controle de manta como uma barra oca genericamente cilíndrica que tem uma pluralidade de orifícios. Cada um dos orifícios da dita pluralidade de orifícios é capaz de proporcionar contato fluido entre a porção central e a porção externa do dispositivo para controle de manta. O dispositivo para controle de manta oferece suporte sem contato para um material de manta em movimento, e pode reduzir a contração lateral de Poisson em um material de manta em movimento e/ou submetido a tensão, sem amarrotá-lo nem estirá-lo de modo significativo.
