Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se ao uso de ácido 4-[3,5-bis-(2-hidroxifenil)-[1,2,4]-triazol-1-il]benzóico (daqui por diante chamado de "composto I") para a fabricação de composições farmacêuticas para o tratamento de doenças hepáticas em seres humanos em que o ferro desempenhe um papel na patogênese, incluindo doenças virais, como hepatite C crônica, opcionalmente em cenjunto com agentes antivirais, e ao tratamento de doenças não virais, como esteato-hepatite não alcoólica e esteatose hepática não alcoólica.
