Abstract
Métodos para tratar profilaticamente ou terapeuticamente pneumonia severa envolvem a administração de inibidor da via de fator tecidual (TFPI) ou um análogo de TFPI a pacientes que sofrem de ou estão em risco de desenvolver essa condição. Os métodos envolvem o uso de infusão intravenosa continua de TFPI ou um análogo de TFPI, preferivelmente em baixas doses para evitar efeitos colaterais adversos.
