Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a um diagnóstico individualizado e personalizado e terapia de câncer à base de alterações moleculares específicas que ocorrem em tecido tumoral específico de populações de pacientes com tumores específicos. A terapia e o diagnóstico são baseados nas descobertas de que a proliferação e o crescimento de tecido tumoral especifico que carrega EGFR que expressa um número de cópia de gene EGFR amplificado podem ser abolidos por anticorpos anti-EGFR, enquanto outras alterações moleculares individuais que ocorrem em tecidos de tumor não são afetadas pelo mesmo tratamento com anticorpo anti-EGFR.
