Abstract
Um implante (20) para remodelar uma córnea (30) inclui uma estrutural anelar de suporte periférico (22), uma pluralidade de filamentos (26), e uma incrustação (24). Os filamentos (26) se estendem entre a incrustação e a estrutura anelar periférica (22) e proporciona suporte para a incrustação (24) . O implante é cirurgicamente posicionado com a incrustação (24), de modo geral diretamente ao longo de uma região ectática da córnea (30) para proporcionar o re-contorno direto da córnea (30). A incrustação (24) pode ser proporcionada com uma curvatura ótica pré-eterminada e/ou prescrição ótica para corrigir adicionalmente a visão do paciente.
