Abstract
SISTEMA E MÉTODO PARA MONITORAÇÃO DE NÓS DE EXTREMIDADE USANDO UM GERENCIAMENTO DE FALHA DE CONECTIVIDADE (CFM) DE ETHERNET EM UMA REDE DE ACESSO. A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema para a monitoração de nós de extremidade usando um Gerenciamento de Falha de Conectividade (CFM) de Ethemet em uma rede de acesso. Em uma modalidade, um servidor de acesso de banda larga (BRAS) é operável para a geração de um quadro de CFM de Ethernet que inclui uma mensagem de consulta com respeito a um nó de extremidade em particular. Uma entidade de função de intertrabaího (IWF) associada a um nó de acesso que serve ao nó de extremidade em particular é operável para a interpretação do quadro de CFM de Ethernet e para a construção de uma mensagem de consulta correspondente em um protocolo nativo compatível com o nó de extremidade em particular. Mediante o recebimento de uma mensagem de resposta a partir do nó de extremidade em particular, a entidade de IWF constrói um quadro de CFM de Ethemet de resposta adequado para transmissão para o BRAS, onde o quadro de CFM de Ethernet de resposta inclui uma resposta correspondente à mensagem de resposta a partir do nó de extremidade.
