Abstract
"ARRUELA MACK ROSCADA". Uma arruela mack inclui uma superfície interna com uma vedação helicoidal que engata as roscas em um corpo de dispositivo de engatar, e uma extensão chanfrada pendendo da superfície de fundo. A vedação helicoidal segue o formato das roscas no corpo de dispositivo de engatar e assume o formato das roscas, se estendendo em geral no diâmetro menor das roscas, desse modo eliminando o vazamento. A vedação helicoidal pode ser interrompida para facilitar o engate. Uma porca de traça para uso com a arruela mack inclui um assento chanfrado configurado para engatar a extensão chanfrada e impelir a extensão chanfrada em contato adicional com o corpo de dispositivo de engatar, aumentando desse modo o efeito de vedação da arruela mack.
