A presente invenção contempla um colete à prova de balas otimizado no sentido de preservar a geometria de seus painéis balísticos inalterada durante a maior parte do tempo, favorecendo o desempenho do sistema de proteção. Além disso, a presente invenção favorece o uso do colete pelo usuário conforme idealizado, ou seja, com os painéis balísticos próximos ao corpo.
