Abstract
ARTIGOS ABSORVENTES QUE FORNECEM CALOR. Um artigo absorvente que contém um substrato fornecendo calor desde é fornecido, o qual é capaz de gerar calor sob ativação. Especificamente, o substrato é revestido com uma composição exotérmica que pode ser formada de uma variedade de componentes diferentes, incluindo metais oxidáveis, componentes de carbono, aglutinantes, sais eletrolíticos, e assim sucessivamente. O metal oxidável é capaz de sofrer uma reação eletroquímica exotérmica, na presença de oxigênio e água para gerar calor. Em alguns casos, a composição exotérmica é anidrosa, isto é, geralmente livre de água, para reduzir a probabilidade de ativação prematura antes do uso.
