Abstract

PRE-TRATAMENTO DE MINERIO TITANÍFERO REFRATÁRIO. Processo para elevar a solubilidade de titânio em compostos de titânio oxidado, minério titanífero, concentrado de minério, ou suas misturas. O processo inclui a adição de um composto de ferro ao minério titanífero ou concentrado de minério, misturação para formar uma mistura, aquecimento sob atmosfera controlada para formar um composto de ferro! titânio, resfriamento, e moagem para formar um pó. A solubilidade em ácido clorídrico concentrado do titânio no pó é superior à solubilidade do titânio no minério titanífero, ou no concentrado de minério.
