Abstract
POLARIZADOR DE TELA DE ARAME DE MÚLTIPLAS CAMADAS. Um polarizador de tela de arame de múltiplas camadas (lOa) para polarizar luz (12) inclui uma pilha de camadas de película fina (18> dispostas sobre um substrato (14), incluindo um arranjo de tela de arame (22) de elementos metálicos alongados (26) tendo comprimentos mais longos do que um comprimento de onda da luz e um período menor do que metade do comprimento de onda da luz. Uma das camadas pode incluir uma camada de película fina (18a-c) com índice refrativo maior do que um índice refrativo do substrato. Uma das camadas de película fina pode incluir um arranjo dielétrico de elementos não-metálicos (38, 46).
