Abstract
Composições cerâmicas reabsorvíveis. A presente invenção se refere a composições precursoras de cerâmica e materiais cerâmicos ligados quimicamente (CBC), especialmente a base de Ca, e a um biomaterial composto apropriado para aplicações ortopédicas. O sistema CBC inclui uma fase ligante (cemento químico) e fases adicionais com química específica, conferindo ao biomaterial a habilidade de uma resistência inicial seguida pela interação com o tecido corpóreo, incluindo líquido corpóreo, para formar um biomaterial reabsorvivel ou parcialmente reabsorvível. A composição precursora de cerâmica compreende pelo menos um silicato com Ca como o cátion principal com uma taxa de reabsorção menor ou igual à do osso em crescimento. O dito silicato formará a fase ligante do material curado. A invenção também se refere a implantes e dispositivos revestidos superficialmente. O material curado exibe uma força de compressão que excede 100 MPa.
