A invenção refere-se a composições, que são estabilizadas contra degradação e amarelamento durante exposição à luz ultravioleta pela presença de certos aditivos de amina impedida, um método de estabilização das composições pela adição dos referidos aditivos, ao uso de tais composições como meios em dispositivos eletroativos tais como dispositivos eletrocrômicos e eletroforéticos, e os dispositivos eletroativos compreendidos desses meios.
