Abstract
ÁCIDOS NUCLÉICOS QUE CODIFICAM AGENTES ANTI-HELMÍNTICOS E PLANTAS FEITAS DOS MESMOS. A presente invenção refere-se a estruturas de DNA, plantas transgênicas contendo tais estruturas e métodos para fazer as plantas. As estruturas de DNA codificam um polipeptídeo que, quando expresso, resulta na produção de compostos de ácido graxo tendo atividade anti-helmíntica. Plantas transgênicas expressando tal polipeptídeo podem exibir resistência intensificada a nematóides parasíticos de plantas, particularmente quando expressos em tecidos vegetativos. Plantas transgênicas expressando tal polipeptídeo também podem ser úteis para usos industriais não-pesticidas.
