Abstract
PEPTÍDEOS ANTIFÚNGICOS A presente invenção fornece peptídeos antifúngicos e antibacteriano, especialmente peptídeos antifúngicos obtidos de espécies de insetos, particularmente lepidópteros. A presente invenção também fornece métodos de uso desses peptídeos antifúngicos para tratar ou evitar crescimento fúngico para uma variedade de objetivos como; proteção de plantas de infecções fúngicas, tratamento de infecções fúngicas de animais, especialmente humanos, e prevenção de deterioração de alimentos. Em particular, a invenção fornece plantas transgênicas que produzem um peptídeo antifúngico, as referidas plantas tendo resistência aumentada a infecções/crescimento fúngicos
