Abstract
COMPOSIÇÃO DE VIDRO DE GERMANATO PARA AMPLIFICAÇÃO DE FIBRA ÓPTICA, FIBRA DE AMPLIFICADOR ÓPTICO, AMPLIFICADOR ÓPTICO, E, DISPOSITIVO LASER É fornecida uma composição de vidro de germanato adequada para uso em um amplificador de fibra para amplificação de faixa larga de sinais ópticos. O vidro preferivelmente inclui 35-75 % DeO~ 2~, 0-45 % PbO, 5-20 % BaO, 5-20 % ZnO e 2-10 % R~ 2~O (R = Na, Li, K). Ele é dopado com íons de túlio (Tm^ 3+^) e codopado com íons de hólmio (Ho^ 3+^). A composição de vidro da invenção resulta em uma largura de faixa notavelmente grande, comparada com a de vidros anteriores. Ela é também altamente compatível com fibras ópticas de sílica existentes.
