A presente invenção fornece um droga segura e eficaz para prevenir a carcinogênese de câncer hepático derivado, acima de tudo, da cirrose por virus da hepatit c. A presente invenção fornece um agente preventivo para a carcinogênese do câncer hepático contendo a menatetrenona como um ingrediente ativo, e é eficaz na prevenção da carcinogênese de câncer hepático pela administração de tal agente preventivo.
