"PROCESSOS E MEIOS PARA ALTERAÇÃO DE CARACTERÍSTICAS DE FIBRA EM PLANTAS PRODUZINDO FIBRA". A presente invenção refere-se a processos e meios para modulação de comprimento de fibra em plantas produzindo fibra como algodão através de alteração de fase de prolongação de fibra. A fase de prolongação de fibra pode ser aumentada ou diminuída através de interferência com deposição de calose em plasmodesmata na base das células de fibra.
