"APARATO E MÉTODO PARA DETERMINAÇÃO DE MÁSCARA DE CÓDIGO PÚBLICO LONGO EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAÇÕES MÓVEL" Descreve-se um aparato e um método para atribuir uma máscara de código público longo (PLCM - Public Long Code Mask) a um terminal móvel em uma rede de comunicações móvel. A invenção compreende atribuir um primeiro tipo de PLCM, quando a PLCM para o terminal móvel for baseada em uma identidade de estação móvel internacional que é baseada em um número de identificação móvel (NIM) associado com o terminal móvel, e atribuir um segundo tipo de PLCM, quando a PLCM para o terminal móvel for provida por um provedor de serviço.
