Abstract
"MÉTODO E DISPOSITIVO PARA DETECTAR RADIAÇÃO OU PROTEÇÃO DE RADIAÇÃO EM CONTAINERES DE TRANSPORTE MARÍTIMO". Constituido por um programa de computador, banco de dados e método para a detecção de material radioativo ou material de proteção de radiação em um container que funciona com dispositivos de detecção trazidos até a proximidade de containeres de tal modo que a presença de material radioativo ou fissil ou material de proteção de radiação para encobrir a presença de tais materiais fisseis ou radioativos, possam ser detectados. Pode, então, ser feita uma comparação da saída do detector a um limite para determinar a ação subsequente com relação ao container para transporte marítimo. O limite pode ser baseado na saída de conhecidos materiais radioativos perigosos, conhecidos conteúdos legalizados ou containeres vazios.
