A presente invenção refere-se a um método para ajudar os animais domésticos a se recuperarem de períodos de atividade vigorosa que inclui fornecer uma fonte de carboidratos formulados para fornecer uma fonte de reabastecimento facilmente disponível de glicogênio para o animal doméstico e fornecer uma fonte de reabastecimento de vitaminas, minerais e antioxidantes os quais são consumidos em taxas que são mais elevadas durante a atividade vigorosa do que durante a atividade não-vigorosa.
