Abstract
"PROMOTOR DE DEFESA VEGETAL STEM-REGULATED E SEUS USOS EM EXPRESSÕES TECIDO-ESPECÍFICAS EM MONOCOTILEDÔNEAS". A presente invenção refere-se a promotores isolados de genes stem-regulated de indução de defesa, tais como os promotores OMT. Os promotores são úteis em cassettes de expressão e vetores de expressão para a transformação de vegetais, A invenção provê, particularmente, vegetais transgênicos de arroz e cana-de-açúcar que tenham sido modificados de forma que a expressão de uma seqüência de codificação heteróloga seja dirigida por um promotor OMT e é limitada por tecidos de caule ou pode ser regulado para cima pela presença de um agente indutor de defesa. A invenção também revela métodos para a produção de vetores de expressão e vegetais transgênicos.
