A presente invenção se refere à formulação de um novo suplemento alimentar à base de sulfato ferroso, para a prevenção e tratamento da anemia. Mais particularmente, a formulação compreende um xarope de sulfato ferroso e substâncias aromatizantes. A dita formulação visa aumentar a adesão das mães ao tratamento de seus filhos e diminuir a rejeição ao suplemento alimentar por parte das crianças.
