É um material polimérico obtido quimicamente a partir dos monômeros trans-RuC1~ 2~(vpy)~ 4~ e estireno, onde a incorporação de metais de transição nas cadeias poliméricas pode, alem da coloração, conferir a eletroatividade e no estado de oxidação irá determinar a cor resultante do material formado e o material formado possui propriedades colorantes e potencial de aplicação na indústria de embalagens.
