Especialmente desenvolvida para que, através de dobradiças (4) seus dois quadros principais (2) e (3) sejam fechados, com suas pernas (6) e (7) recolhidas pela articulação de suas mãos-francesas (13), formando uma espécie de maleta portátil; dita maca (1) podendo ser usada como tatame, com suas pernas (6) e (7) recolhidas, sendo apoiada diretamente sobre o chão e, ainda, quando usada como maca (1), dotada de regulagem de altura, através de tubos inferiores (9) telescópicos deslocáveis por suas pernas (6) e (7) e devidamente travados, tendo também regulagem em sua largura e comprimento, por meio de dispositivos extensores (19), (21) e (27), para as almofadas (20), (24) e (28) de apoio da cabeça, braços e pés.
