Uma composição de material polimérico termoplástico compreendendo um material polimérico termoplástico selecionado dentre o grupo consistindo de um polímero termoplástico e uma liga de polímero termoplástico, uma resina adesiva, e um éster de cadeia longa, particularmente ésteres dimerato e trimerato, é capaz de uma adesão inesperada a substratos como substratos de tecido natural, substratos de tecido polimérico sintético, substratos de metal, e substratos de material polimérico termoplástico, particularmente cordonéis naturais, cordonéis poliméricos sintéticas, cordonéis de metal, e cordonéis de vidro para uso em artigos reforçados com cordonéis, com mangueiras, correias transportadoras, correias de transmissão, e outras.
