Abstract
"DISPOSITIVO ARTIFICIAL PARA MANUTENÇÃO DE VIAS AÉREAS LIVRES COMBINADO A UM OBTURADOR ESOFÁGICO". O dispositivo artificial para manutenção de vias aéreas livres combinado a um obturador esofágico (10) inclui dois balonetes infláveis, um no esôfago (16) e outro posicionado acima da glote - supraglótico (14), que ao serem inflados em seqüência, permitem um rápido isolamento do esôfago em relação à passagem de ar para traquéia, sem prejudicar a permeabilidade das vias aéreas. O balonete supraglótico é assimétrico, em forma de cunha ou cone, e com isso levando a um menor trauma para os tecidos faríngeos. Um indicador de pressão (25) envolve o balão piloto (28) no intuito de prover uma monitorização contínua da pressão interna dos balonetes (14 & 16).
