A invenção refere-se aos produtos de reação de 2-propil-heptanol com 1-halogênio-2,3-epóxi-propanos e 1-hidróxi-2,3-epóxi-propano (glicidol), aos processos para a produção dos mesmos, e ao uso dos mesmos como co-tensoativos, tensoativos limpadores ou agentes espessantes.
