Abstract
"MÉTODOS PARA TRATAMENTO E PREVENÇÃO DE CONDIÇÕES GASTROINTESTINAIS". A presente invenção refere-se a métodos terapêuticos para a prevenção e tratamento de condições e doenças do trato gastrointestinal envolvendo uma sobre-produção de óxido nítrico pela sintase óxido nítrico induzível, incluindo os métodos a administração a um indivíduo, em necessidade de tal, de uma quantidade terapeuticamente eficaz de um inibidor seletivo da sintase óxido nítrico induzível (iNOS). Os métodos também incluem a utilização de inibidores seletivos de INOS em combinação com outros agentes terapêuticos, incluindo agentes antimicrobianos e agentes antisecretórios.
