Um sistema (30) e métodos para gerenciar uma pluralidade de dispositivos projetores (12, 16) sobre uma rede de computador são providos. O sistema inclui um gerenciador de projetor (32) ligado a uma rede de computador, onde o gerenciador de projetor é configurado para monitorar sobre a rede um status de uma característica selecionada de um dispositivo projetor selecionado (12, 16), e mudar o status da característica selecionada quando solicitado.
