Abstract
"CORPOS DE MULITA E MÉTODOS PARA FORMAR CORPOS DE MULITA". Descreve-se um método para formar uma composição de mulita porosa de grãos aciculares de mulita, onde a mulita é formada em algum momento na presença de um gás contendo flúor. Por exemplo, descobriu-se que propriedades melhoradas podem resultar aquecendo a mulita em temperatura elevada numa atmosfera selecionada do grupo consistindo de vapor d água, oxigênio, um gás inerte ou misturas dos mesmos e formando a composição de mulita a partir de precursores tendo razão de Al/Si de no máximo 2,95.
