"ALELOS DE HMGA INUSITADOS E SEU USO COMO MARCADORES GENÉTICOS PARA TRAÇOS DE CRESCIMENTO, GORDURA, QUALIDADE DA CARNE E EFICIÊNCIA DA RAÇÃO". Descreve-se marcadores genéticos para crescimento, gordura, qualidade da carne e eficiência da ração de animais, métodos para identificar tais marcadores, e métodos para triar animais a fim de determinar aqueles que mais possivelmente produzem o desejado crescimento, gordura, qualidade da carne e eficiência da ração, e de preferência, selecionar esses animais com propósitos de criação futura. os marcadores baseiam-se na presença de certos polimorfismos em uma seqüência de nucleotídeos de HMGA.
