"TRATAMENTO E PREVENÇÃO DE DISTÚRBIOS INFLAMATÓRIOS". A presente invenção refere-se a métodos de tratar e prevenir distúrbios associados com TNF- e/ou IL-1 elevados administrando-se quantidades terapêuticas de ácido estearidônico. São também fornecidos métodos para sub-regular TNF- e/ou IL-1 e ensaios para determinar a presença, ausência ou quantidade de TNF- e/ou IL-1 em um sujeito em conjunto com um regime de administração de ácido estearidônico.
