A invenção refere-se a um produto refratário que contém mais de 85% de zircônia (ZrO~ 2~), notável pelo fato de que ele contém, em percentagem em peso à base de óxidos: ZrO~ 2~ > 92%; SiO~ 2~ : 2 a 8%; Na~ 2~O : 0,12 a 1%; A1~ 2~O~ 3~: 0,2 a 2%; 0,5% Y~ 2~O~ 3~ + CaO 2,6%, contanto que Y~ 2~O~ 3~ : 0,3 a 2% ou que CaO: 0,5 a 1,93%.
