"COMBINAÇÃO DE UM DERIVADO DE IODOPROPINILA COM UM CETOÁCIDO OU SEU SAL E/OU COM UM ÁCIDO CARBOXÍLICO AROMÁTICO OU SEU SAL". Cetoácidos cíclicos e acíclicos, tal como o ácido deidroacético, e sais do mesmo assim como um ácido carboxílico aromático e sais do mesmo melhoram o desempenho de biocidas contendo iodo como agentes antimicrobianos e preservativos. A invenção presente provê uma composição compreendendo: (a) um biocida contendo iodo; e (b) (I) um cetoácido ou sal do mesmo, (II) um ácido carboxílico aromático ou sal do mesmo, ou (III) uma mistura dos mesmos. Preferivelmente, o cetoácido é um cetoácido cíclico e o ácido carboxílico aromático é o ácido salicílico.
