Aparelho de distribuição por liberação prolongada pelo menos parcialmente radiopaco incluindo um material de suporte de liberação prolongada, uma composição farmaceuticamente ativa presente no ou sobre o material de suporte de liberação prolongada e um material que torne o aparelho de distribuição pelo menos parcialmente radiopaco; a composição farmaceuticamente ativa incluindo pelo menos um componente farmaceuticamente ativo e, opcionalmente, um veículo; o componente farmaceuticamente ativo estando presente em quantidades de aproximadamente 30% a 75% em peso, com base no peso total do aparelho de distribuição por liberação prolongada; o material radiopaco estando presente no material de suporte e/ou na composição farmaceuticamente ativa.
