Abstract
"GENE SINTÉTICO DE RESISTÊNCIA A HERBICIDA" A invenção provê uma molécula de DNA, uma construção de DNA, uma planta transgênica e uma parte de planta transgênica compreendendo uma seqüência de DNA sintética. A seqüência de DNA sintética codifica uma enzima que degrada ácido 2,4-diclorofenoxiacético (2,4-D) a diclorofenol. A seqüência de DNA sintética compreende uma seqüência microbiana natural que codifica a enzima, na qual uma pluralidade dos códons da seqüência microbiana natural foram substituídos por códons mais preferidos por uma planta. A invenção provê também um método para controlar ervas daninhas em um campo contendo plantas transgênicas de acordo com a invenção, pela aplicação de uma auxina herbicida, tal como 2,4-D, ao campo. A invenção provê adicionalmente métodos para selecionar plantas e células vegetais que foram transformadas com a construção de DNA de acordo com a invenção utilizando uma auxina herbicida.
